The Diabetes Information Service Munich is located at Helmholtz Zentrum München. It is a member of Germany's largest scientific organization, the Helmholtz Association, which is made up of 18 scientific-technical and medical-biological research centers with a total of almost 38,000 employees. Helmholtz Zentrum München receives its funding from the German Federal Government and the Free State of Bavaria, which provide the basic funding according to a ratio of 90:10.

 

The Diabetes Information Service Munich works independently and has no conflicts of interest with third parties. It receives financial and scientific support from the German Center for Diabetes Research and the Helmholtz Diabetes Center, which are affiliated with Helmholtz Zentrum München, and institutes and research groups of the two top-ranked, excellence-initiative universities, Technische Universität München and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
